But recording is not a life or death situation. I've met plenty of people that keep postponing beginning on serious recording since they still haven't finished building their studio. And they also probably never will. There's always some equipment or software that they need to buy and install. And once they've done that, you will have something else.
It's my firm belief that for making progress in recording, all you need is a basic home studio setup, and you will need to start making serious recordings the moment possible. You'll figure out how to record through recording. Recording, recording and recording.
