#Photography: Long Exposure Photography | The Right Exposure for Sky, Water and Foreground

When shooting long exposure images you will notice that within one exposure shot, your brightest area in the frame will be your sky. The darkest will be your (still) foreground and the water will be somewhere in between, assuming you have all three of these components in your frame.
The principle of overcoming this issue is to:
  • Underexpose for the sky
  • Overexpose for the foreground
