Sunshine In Your Eyes - a #poetry

Sunshine In Your Eyes

When I sit alone
All birds have flown
And clouds are hanging deep
And I have no need
For an evening read
But not able to get to sleep
You are my angel in disguise
You have sunshine in your eyes

Out in the street
Where beggars bleed
And raise their hands for food
No bar, no pub
Can bring me up
No amusement will do me good
But your face will make a smile arise
Coz you have sunshine in your eyes

When my mood is bad
I'm feeling sad
And shadows spead their wings
I'm dipping a jar
And take my guitar
But minor comes out of the strings
On a rainy day under darkling skies
You have sunshine in your eyes
