It's Christmas Time - a #poetry

It's Christmas Time

Clear, cold nights, frosty outside
Icy streets, children slide
Looking at the calendar, the end of year is near
Jingles from the mountains, maybe Santa is near
Don't you hear it, don't you hear it
It's Christmas time, the best time of the year

Decoration, multicolored Christmas balls
Christmas songs come from the shopping malls
People carry Christmas gifts
Shop assistants work in shifts
Don't you see it, don't you see it
It's Christmas time, the best time of the year

Children ask how to cut out biscuits
And eat some coz they are delicious
Aroma from a bakery
Oh, it smells so savory
Don't you smell it, don't you smell it
It's Christmas time, the best time of the year

Lines that did not make it:
Lametta hanging from the trees
Fiacre horses freeze
In the woods a loney deer
Christmas time is near

calendar ['kaelendar]
savory ['seivori]
