The tryp - Austrian rock band

"The Tryp", 2 guys and 1 lady, are a indie band from Salzburg / Austria, the city where Mozart was born.

• Reeva (this is the she) is singing
• Tom Pi obviously programming music and playing guitar
• Flo on the drums

The sound is dominated by Reeva's voice, no chorus or back vocals; what is only a remark, not criticism. The arrangements are minimalistic and so is the homepage. Only a video and "BUY BUY BUY". Not a word to the lyrics or about the musicians, no photos.

Sorry, I would like to know a little more about these people who are making an attractive music. Isn't it worth a story of the bandcontests they had behind them? Isn't it worth to say that Reeva received an offer by a major label?

Back to the music. I am not sure if this sterile and partly carelessly thrown soundflashes are their style or something a good producer would improve when working with the band.

Take the song "Love". It sounds like a lost love is rejected with a shrug just to continue with the next song. Mainly Reeva's vocal part is empowered with emotion and full interesting vibes - that's why I write about this band. But the background band should be more animalistic -

"Animalistic" is the workname of their album "Superhero Powers". "Far Away" is better, the vocals are more emotional.

"Repeat It" has an interesting guitar. A good recording with expressive vocals over a monotone rhythm with a guitar soloing in the background and sometimes a mumbling male voice in the back.

Nevertheless an individual sound&style.
